Starting with an understanding of how stress impacts the nervous system, including the vagus nerve, we move to examining how yoga elicits a 'relaxation response' that offers physical and emotional benefit. Understanding the science of yoga's supposed benefit for stress management can be really helpful in cultivating a regular practice.
