After working in academia for over 13 years and practicing yoga since 2008, Kathie Overeem, PhD, wanted to make a career shift that could be of greater benefit to more people while being aligned with her core passions. Being interested in the transformational effects of yoga, she was following research on how beneficial yoga practices can be for mental health and well-being. In this episode Dr. Overeem discusses the intersection of yoga, psychology and neuroscience, as well as the practice of trauma sensitive yoga.
